The most rewarding part of what I do is watching a smile come over a client's face when they realize that there's a better way to arrange their finances or that a dream home is within their reach. Owning real estate is incredibly rewarding and real estate lending is the fuel that makes it happen.
My career began at a brokerage in Beverly Hills where I worked during the summers while I attended UCLA and later USC Law. Even though I was training to be a lawyer at school, I was always fascinated by real estate finance and I loved the challenge of helping new clients get the most out of the mortgage market.
When my daughter was born, we returned to Marin County where my wife and I were raised. I worked as an attorney in downtown San Francisco for a couple of years, but ultimately, my passion for working with numbers and finance took me back to real estate lending. Since 1993, I've been an associate mortgage broker with various Bay Area firms until my brother joined me in the business and we established Cary Financial in 2001.
Years of study and trading in the financial markets, including two years with a national proprietary trading firm gave me a solid working knowledge in the technical analysis of price trends and how to anticipate when change in the markets is likely. Today we use those skills in combination with special software to forecast the best probabilities for interest rate trends. Our clients gain from this insight by knowing when it's a good time to lock an interest rate versus when it's better to wait and let the market come to you.
My family and I live along the Paradise Loop in Corte Madera.
